I traveled out to this mysterious town three hours south of Sydney for a wedding that was as magical as the date 22/02/22.
I drove through the beautiful Southern Tablelands until I hit the whimsical woodlands of a quaint town named Braidwood. Hidden out of sight of Braidwood’s eclectic main street there it was, in all its glory, Mona Farm.
This venue took me by surprise. It felt like it was somehow connected to Mona Art Museum in Tasmania by the amount of Art which hung on the walls and the quirky sculptures which were sitting ever so randomly far out in the paddocks.
Mona farm is now on my map after Shalea and Reece’s luxurious wedding day. A white marquee sat on a hill over a cobblestone bridge which the guests strolled over, a saxophonist greeted us with jazz in our ears on arrival as we sat and listened to the warm stories their family members shared.
A wedding I will never forget.
