On the warm river banks at Wigley Flat under the shade of the river red gums. Upon the breathtaking grounds of the lush privately owned Akuna Station, I stood and waited for Groom Jock McNeil to arrive. A ski boat caught my eye, five men in suits jumped out of the boat as it pulled up next to the ceremony set up. I thought this was cool, but things got a whole lot cooler after this. From popping bottles on cliff tops, dancing under the clear night stars, avoiding getting COVID and FINALLY seeing love birds, Jock and Lauren, unite in marriage after 11 years together.. what a day.
For what was the last wedding before COVID hit Australia, watching these two finally get married made it all worth it! We could hug, we could dance, we could connect with family and loved ones, a wedding i’ll always remember!
